Are the "Letters to the Editor" still a thing?
I’ve been following a specific local debate about the new zoning laws in our district and I have a few points I’d really like to share with the rest of the community. I know people used to write in all the time, but I’m not sure if the paper still prints those in the physical edition or if they’ve moved entirely to the online comment sections. What’s the best way to format a short piece so that it actually has a chance of being selected for publication?

publication is still very possible, but success now depends on clarity, brevity, Geoguesser and relevance just as much as the opinion itself. If you shape your piece with the editor’s needs in mind, you stand a much better chance of seeing it in print or online.
