Xero integration for Neon – anyone using it or alternatives?
Hi folks, our small team is switching to better project management and we already use Xero for accounting. Right now we're tracking time and invoices manually, which is a pain. I saw that Neon has some kind of direct integration with Xero for syncing clients, invoices, payments etc. Has anyone here connected Neon CRM/project tool with Xero? How smooth is the sync in real life – does it handle recurring invoices, partial payments, or multi-currency well? Or did you end up using Zapier instead? Would love to hear real experiences before we commit. Thanks!

We set up the Neon + Xero integration about 8 months ago for our nonprofit-ish consultancy (around 15 people). It’s actually pretty solid for what we need: client contacts sync automatically, invoices created in Neon push to Xero right away, and when clients pay in Xero it updates the status in Neon. Recurring stuff works fine too, though we had to tweak some mapping at the beginning for custom fields. No major headaches so far, and it saved us tons of double entry. If your volume is low-medium I’d say go direct integration over Zapier (cheaper and fewer points of failure).
