I do think official app stores take a significant cut, which can indirectly raise prices for players. That’s partly why external platforms exist—they create pressure for more competitive pricing. However, I believe many players are still unaware of these alternatives or unsure about their reliability. While third-party sites can push the market toward better pricing, trust and convenience still keep a large portion of users within official stores despite the higher costs.
