Which App Features Help Solo Contractors Most?
Working alone means handling the actual jobs as well as scheduling, customer messages, estimates, invoices, and payment follow-ups. I’ve been trying to cut down on admin work, but it still takes up more time than I’d like. For solo contractors, which app features have made the biggest difference in daily work? I’m especially interested in quick estimates, simple invoicing, appointment reminders, and keeping customer and job details in one place. It would be helpful to hear which features you use regularly and which ones turned out to be unnecessary.

I can relate to this because admin work can easily take up the rest of the evening when you work alone. I recently came across tofu while looking at apps for estimates, invoices, and scheduling. What seems useful is having customer details, job notes, photos, and payment history in one place instead of switching between several tools. The calendar view and mobile access also look practical for checking the day’s jobs or sending an invoice before leaving the site. I’d still want to see how well it works during regular use, but the basic setup seems suited to solo contractors who mainly want to stay organized and spend less time on paperwork.
